Rising actor, OC Ukeje will be starring in the film adaptation of the award winning play, Gone Too Far. The play is a coming-of-age comedy written by Bola Agbaje, a British playwright of Nigerian descent. Set in Peckham, the play follows a group of kids over the course of a single day, as they struggle to realize their dreams. In 2008, the play won the Laurence Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliated Theatre.
The film will be directed by Destiny Ekaragha, a British filmmaker of Nigerian descent. This will be her first feature film, although she has directed several short films. Her short films include Tight Jeans and Bloody Muddle. The screenplay for the film was written by Bola Agbaje. The film will also star Malachi Kirby.
Filming of Gone Too Far will commence in Peckham on October 22, and it will last for four weeks. The film is financed by Poisson Rouge Pictures, and the British Film Institute Film Fund.
