The movie Amina (directed by Christian Ashaiku) will be premiered in London, at Empire Leicester Square on October 17. Amina stars Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Will Johnson, Vincent Regan, Van Vicker, and Alison Carrol. Amina was shot in 2011, at several locations in London.
The Story
Amina is a deeply emotional story of loss, love and redemption. It is a story about a fragile young woman, who’s life turns into disarray after an unplanned pregnancy leaves her totally devastated and bewildered.
Unsure and vulnerable, she fights single-handedly to raise an unwanted child, but stumbles and falls at every turn. She sinks deeper into emotional turmoil until she is eventually put in the care of a secure pyschiactric institution.
Only one man (her psychiatrist) cares enough to unravel the dark forces surrounding Amina. However, he must first overcome his own demons before he can help Amina confront her tormented past and guide her to finally face her future with hope.
