MAAMi To Be Screened At Obasanjo Library

There will be a special screening of the movie, MAAMi (directed by Tunde Kelani) at the main auditorium of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta, on August 17. Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state, will be the special guest of honour at the screening. The screening is an initiative of the OOPL Theatre and Tunde Kelani’s Mainframe Productions. Members of the public will be able to watch the movie at OOPL, on August 18 and 19. MAAMi will also be screened at several venues in Lagos, August 18 through August 21. The screening venues in Lagos are National Theatre (Iganmu), Durban Hotel (Omole), and Big Zone Hotel (Ikorodu).

The Story
MAAMi stars Funke Akindele and Wole Ojo. It is the inspiring story of a poor conscientious single mother’s struggle to raise her only child Kashimawo, who, eventually, rises to international stardom in an English football club, Arsenal, and becomes a national hero.
