It is a widely acknowledged fact that star actress, Uche Jombo is one of the most hardworking actresses in Nollywood. Since she began acting professionally in 1999, she has garnered many accolades and won several awards. Despite this, she is not resting on her laurels, and in 2012, the actress is as busy as ever.
In March, she featured in Ikenna – an epic movie directed by Amayo Uzo Philips, which also featured Kenneth Okonkwo and Chioma Akpotha. In April, she was in Cameroon to star in Blood or Wine, a movie produced by star actor, Jim Iyke. In May, she was in Misplaced, a movie which also featured Van Vicker, Charles Okafor, and Bobby Obodo. In June, she completed the shoot of Mrs Somebody, a comedy which also features Yemi Blaq, Lilian Byoma, and Bobby Obodo. In August, she was in Sierra Leone with Desmond Elliot, to star in his movie, Reflections, which also features Lydia Forson, Dabota Lawson, and Aisha Kamara.
Her production company, Uche Jombo Studios is also preparing to release My Life, My Damage – the second movie in her trilogy, The Damage Movies. My Life, My Damage which features Tonto Dikeh in the lead role, will be premiered in Nigeria, the US, and the UK.
In between her job as an actress, producer, and writer, she found time to get married, and also to perform her duties as a brand ambassador for telecoms company, Globacom. Now, who says Uche Jombo is not one of the most hardworking actresses in Nollywood?
