The African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), which was held in Lagos on April 12, 2012, was an international affair. Guests came from all over Africa, and beyond came for the award ceremony. American stars, Morris Chestnut, Rockmond Dunbar, and Lynn Whitfield added a touch of Hollywood glamour to the event. There were also strong delegations from Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa at the awards.
